Sustainability is probably the buzzword of our time and it is impossible to imagine the media without it. The awareness surrounding sustainable action long ago ceased to be something that was only relevant for private consumers. Companies are also looking more seriously at how their activities are affecting the environment and the importance of a corporate sustainability concept as part of the corporate culture is growing.

It is no different at TROX. The company, which has its headquarters in Neukirchen-Vluyn on the Lower Rhine, has just published its third sustainability report, and for the first time the report is based on the internationally recognised standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

“TROX is aware of its responsibility towards future generations and is thus tackling the issue of sustainability consistently and energetically. Our aim is to provide healthy indoor air in a climate- and resource-neutral manner. After all, good, healthy air is vital and that's why we have developed our own, sustainable TROX climate formula," says Udo Jung, Managing Director Sales, Technology and Production.

"The purpose of our Sustainability Report 2021 is to outline what we have achieved so far and how we want to act in the future. Here, the focus is not just on the long-term sustainability goal of leading the global TROX GROUP to climate neutrality by 2040. The report also gives details of the medium-term goals that have been set for the period up until 2025," explains Thomas Mosbacher, Managing Director of Finance and Human Resources.

And a special climate formula was developed to illustrate TROX's commitment. "TROX is a highly meaningful company that acts sustainably in two respects – for health and for the environment. This is in line with our tradition, which has always focussed on quality, durability, efficiency, innovation, social-mindedness and a socially responsible approach," says Christine Roßkothen, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, in concluding the presentation of the sustainability report.
